Is your windscreen clean? Small amounts of dirt on the screen or smears caused by inefficient wipers can refract the light. This causes a dazzling effect from the oncoming light source. Also our eyes are naturally attracted to any light source. Try not to look directly at the car headlights. Concentrate on the road ahead or the side of the road instead. It's NOT a good idea to wear sunglasses when driving at night.

Depends on what you mean by Difficulty. If it's just too bright and makes you squint, you just may have a sensitivity to light. That has nothing to do with the quality of your eyesight. I have 20/13 vision (better than "Prefect") and I can not go outside on even a cloudy day without sunglasses. On the other hand, if things look foggy or hazy at light in the on-coming car lights, then that's early signs of cataracts, glacoma, or perhaps another condition.

Try not to look directly at the oncoming lights. It is not uncommon to find the lights blinding even when you have 20/20 vision

My mother and I both have this problem.... but it isn't your regular vision. I'm 20/20 too! It's something called Night vision, or basically, your eyes don't adjust to light or dark very rapidly. Ask your doctor about it, but my mom and I both wear yellow sunglasses at night, and when a car comes, watch the side of the road, not directly ahead. Basically, give your eyes time to adjust. Good Luck!

i have the same problem but i thought it was the brightness of the headlamps of oncoming cars, try looking to the side of the road and not straight at oncoming cars!

I would definitely get a second opinion first....my Hubby doesn't wear glasses during the day BUT he needs to wear them for night driving...they make special glasses for that...good luck.

Well just wear some sun glasses and that should reduce the brightness from the lights
