That's the best part. You go off to work, leaving your dinner cooking and when you get home it smells like you've been working hard all day. Just leave it away from anything flammable just to be on the safe side. Have a great dinner.

Yes! I do it all the time. There is nothing better than putting a roast in the crock pot and then, after a hard day at work or play, coming home and finding a fork tender roast ready for my family. Add some potatoes and vegetables to the pot, too and dinner is done! All you need to add is a salad and some bread!
There are a ton of great sites with wonderful recipes for your crock pot!
Hope this helps!

Definetly give it a try. Crockpot was designed for this. You get to come in to a homecooked meal without much effort.

Yes and that is one of the main reasons crockpot cooking is so popular is that it cooks unattended throughout the day.

Yes, but if you don't have a programmable cp, plug it into a timer (so it will shut off at a designated time). I would not put an electrical appliance in the sink or on a stove.

yes you can i do it all the time. just set it on low and make sure there is nothing close to it. once i left a bread bag next to it and well it melted and ruined my bread. but heck my mom and my grandma have always left one on all day and went shopping or to work and have never had a problem.

Definately!!! That's what they were made for. Turn it on low before you go to work, and when you get home, the food is cooked! That's what I've been doing for years!

That is the idea of the crock pot...to slow cook food while you are away at work or where ever.

Absolutely not! You must be there to watch it cook for 8-10 hours. It could spontaneously combust.
