If money is no object where would you want to be on New Years Eve in NYC. I am looking for a 25th wedding anniversary trip. I don't know where to stay and what to do on the new years eve...

Thanks,
Kimberley

For our 25th Wedding Anniversary we went to Hawaii. The Grand Canyon; Australia or/and New Zealand because it's their Summer. If you want snow or skiing, then Austria, Italy, French Alps or Montana or Canada. How about the Nigaria falls (very, very cold though); A lovely cruise in the Carribean (very romantic); cottage by the lakes in the Lake District; A weekend to Scotland around Loch Lomond or Ben Nevis. Holiday in South Africia (Summer there) etc.

If money is no object I would probably stay at the W Hotel in Times Square! It has nicer rooms than any other hotel in Times Square, and you can have a nice view of the ball drop from there if you get a room on one of their higher floors facing that way.

If you don't need to be right in Times Square - you can stay at another awesome hotel - the Mandarin Oriental in Columbus Circle. Brand new, with amazing views and plenty of options for places to celebrate. You can have views of the NYE fireworks in Central Park also.

I'm sure most of the more upscale hotels with have package deals for NYE that will include your stay and a nice dinner/dancing type of thing. Other good hotels are: Waldorf Astoria, Four Seasons, Intercontinental, SoHo Grand, Ritz Carlton, The Pierre, the St. Regis.

If money is no object, I would stay at a hotel in Times Square. Maybe at the Marriott Marquis. You might have trouble securing a room at this time however. Any decent hotel in the midtown area on the west side (bet. 34th and 59th Streets) would be good.

There is a HUGE party in the British Virgin Islands. I think it's on Tortola. I was in Roadtown (the BVI capital) for last New Years and had to listen to everyone's stories of how fun it was.
