I'm a black male. I used the African Pride texturizer. Just wondering when I should put another in.

Once I texturize my hair, I always place one on my roots around the second week of the month. But that's because my hair grows fast. I guess whenever your new hair growth comes in. Just remember to just do the roots because you'll damage the textured hair even more by putting more chemicals on it. Hopes this helps!

Your hair grows approximately a 1/2inch per month. You only need to touch up the roots with the texturizer where the new hair grew in. Most stylists recommend to kinda play it by ear, and that it's a personal preference thing as far as how long you go (as long as you can stand it). Some clients get touch-ups every month....others go up to 3 or 4 months. It also depends on how much natural curl you have to begin with. You'll know when it needs it, but be sure, if you're doing it yourself, to do your best to only put the product on the outgrowth and not to overlap onto the already processed hair...you'll be in for some major damage otherwise!

It should tell you on the label. If not, do a websearch...or call a local hair stylist.
