Usually, there is a weight chart along with the age chart so if you have a baby under the age of 2, but whose weight is enough, you can give the dosage by weight and not age...

Also, try calling your pediatrician or your pharmacist. They can help you with the proper dosing.

I hope your baby girl feels better soon!!

The big difference is that the infants is concentrated so you use less to get the same effect. They say ask the doctor so you can't sue if there's any reaction. Just continue with the infants. If anything the doctor may say give her an extra .4 to be effective for her size. I wouldn't double the dose though.

I gave my children the infant stuff until they were 2... my son was a big boy so he got a double dose. But becareful not to give them too much.

They consider 2 and under infants, (they need a toddler med). You should call the peds and ask them if her weight is enough for an adult tylenol...I would be scared too because of the chemicals that are in tylenols and other meds... plus you have to remember any nsaids ie...tylenol,advil, motrin, etc can make your childs stomache bleed as well... talk to your doctor first.
I give my children all natural ailments now so I don't know what is up with all these meds now.

Good luck

I wonder the same thing for my son sometimes....however, you should talk to the pediatrician.... Use the infant formula of whatever decongestant you pick, but talk to the pediatrician about the dosage, typically, they will prescribe a smaller dose.

They do this because they want you to call their doctor first. The medication is based more on weight than by age, so if she is over 24 pounds she can have the other medicine.

you can give her children decongestant and just cut the dosage in half for the smalles weight or ask her docter and they should be able to tell you.

She is still considered an infant I guess. I would give her the vs the bigger kind. I have 4,2, and 5 month old kids.
