Analytical skills generally refer to studying something by taking it apart . . . by understanding the pieces, you have a better understanding of the whole.
Memorizing or remembering figures generally does not play a part in analysis . . . could you please clarify your goal ?
FYI . . . so many numbers flow through life and are constantly changing, that it is generally pointless to remember actual numbers. Far more useful is to know WHERE to find relevant stats or measurement conversions or whatever.
