I am excited for Christmas because I get to spend a few days with my family with absolutely nothing to do but enjoy our company. Have a few drinks, eat a lot of food, play a few games, go for a nice stroll in the snow with the dogs.

We normally spend Christmas with my family and then New Years with my wife's family. It's a compromise that works out well.

What are your traditions?

I am so excited for this Christmas because my daughter is 17 months old and really aware of what's going on. My husband works 6 days a week (right now about 90 hours, usually it's like 100) so it'll be so nice for him to be able to stay in his pj's for 4 days straight! I come from a family with abusive siblings, so my husband and I started our own family tradition. We have a really great dinner the night before in our pj's and then make comfort foods in Christmas. Whatever we crave. Last year it was filet mignon nachos! We walk through the neighborhood and visit with friends. We also have an open door for people in the area we know who may not have family close by. As long as they don't mind how casual we are, they are welcome! We are both sober for 6 years, so no booze, but lots of egg nog and other treats. New Years, we have two bowls of ice cream instead of champagne lol. We are nerds. We usually try to watch movies and stay up but we are up at 4am so we usually are asleep waaay before the ball drops!

I love Christmas because it is the day we celebrate the birth of Christ. I'm not into spending tons of money for gifts but the fact that we all get together and share love with one another family and friends that just makes my day. there is just so much love in the air at Christmas time. don't you wish that it would last all year round?
