She said no.... she probably does like you, she didn't say she didn't, but she did say she wants to focus on her lessons which means exactly what she says.
Just back off a little and give her some space. She needs to focus on her lessons and get a good education.

Wish i had listened when i was told this, but basically a good education means a good job, means good money, means better quality of life (didn't say better life tho) and more opportunities available! Then she has all the time in the world to find a decent young man. And if you wait and are still close that guy could be you? (Eternal optimist!!)

In short, support her study, she's being wise. take heed.

ok I don't know the previous conversation or question but I don't need to know it to give you an answer. If SHE said no then believe and listen to her cause only she knows how she feels. Everyone else can say what they want but she's told you how she feels right now. Respect her for that.

I'd listen to Charlotte! Back off! Maybe she'll come round in time but it seems like you're intimidating her and pushing her away at the moment!

Accept her decision! This may be more attractive to her. Focus on having a beautiful, fun friendship, and the relationship will automatically happen...it did for me:)

Hit on one of her friends. She'll get so jealous those lessons would be forgetten. Plus, you may actually get to hook up with them both. ;-)
