There is a Christmas store called The Christmas Cottage on 7th Avenue between 55th & 56th Streets:

871 7th Ave, New York, NY 212-333-7380

I would give them a call before I went there and see if they have what you want.

You might also want to call this store, which is on 23rd Street:

Santa's Best, 1107 Broadway New York NY 10010 (212) 929-4964

The only place I have seen those decorations (my mom has her own little village) have been either specialty shops or at some of the bigger department stores.

The other thing you might want to do is find the manufacturer of the item that you want and contact them to see who sells them in your area. Department 56 is a big manufacturer, they have several lines of Christmas villages.

There are "holiday fairs" specializing in Christmas items going on right now in Grand Central Station, Union Square Park, and Bryant Park. There is also a good store at Southstreet Seaport.

Happy shopping.
