I agree I think girls look really cute and sophisticated in a nice pair of glasses.

Are you kidding?! I have a pair of glasses that were made that has NO prescription, (does have UV protection in them though) because I think they look awesome! Maybe she just needs a nice pair of D&C frames. Okay they cost about $400, but these are her eyes she's talking about.

I don't feel unattractive with glasses on. I think if the person feels unpretty before, doesn't matter if she wears glasses or not.

The glasses don't make the woman. They can always come off and there's alternatives out there like contact lenses and corrective eye surgery.

Hope she overcomes her low self esteem and that you two can be happy.

I do feel less attractive with my glasses on, but I think its because I've only been wearing them for 4 years (I'm 30) and I've got a really small head, so I either have to wear Kids glasses or ones that are two big .... i think if you keep reassuring her she'll come round to your way of thinking in the end

Ever since I was a little girl i have worn glasses and I never liked how i looked in them back then the frames were huge and when i look at pictures my husband is like look at the dork. Now how I have black smaller frames and I look better but contacts makes me look even more sassy. I have blue eyes with blue contacts and i always get compliments about my eyes but not everyone knows you arewearing them. Tell her that you like her glasses compliments help boost a persons self image. Just tell her what you think us girls love compliments. Good luck.

I felt very self conscious when I started wearing glasses all the time. But I can't be that unattractive - no shortage of blokes after me and no shortage of emotional encounters!

The facts are that men DO make passes at girls who wear glasses. I personally love a woman in glasses, but that may be my 'geekness' kicking in...

I've recently started wearing glasses and feel great in them! There are such funky sexy ones available nowadays! They're more like a fashion accessory now! Ask her to consider checking out what's available!

i think that most girls look good in glasses.. i love to wear my glasses and if she feels that strongly about wearing glasses then maybe she needs to look into wearing lens don't you think.? also you could tell her she looks good while she is in front of a mirror and point out to her how beautiful she really is

Glasses are not for attractive purposes, there are for astigmatisms. Simply to correct impaired vision. With all of the hot styles that are out and emerging now, everyone seems to want to wear them now whether they really need them or not. Tell your friend to wear her glasses if she needs them, that's what they are for. Or, she can choose to "look cool" without them and barley "look" at all. This is a silly concern of hers.

Gosh, no! But you know, if she got her glasses in, like, elementary school and somebody mocked her, she may still feel the effect of it. Childhood hurts don't go away so easily.

Try complimenting her hair, eyes, face, dress, ideas without pretext. Tell her she looks beautiful BEFORE she complains about her appearance. We love little unexpected compliments.
