My cousin has been living with her boyfriend for over ten years. The strange thing is he doesn't sleep with her at night, only when they share intimacy. I just found out that he sleeps in the basement. He comes up with one excuse after another such as her mattress doesn't feel right. So she went out and replaced them, he still didn't sleep in her bed, then it was some bull about he likes to fall asleep with the tv and she doesn't. They don't go anywhere together other than to go and eat on occassions. She seems to be ok with their arrangement and she feels he really loves her. What do you all think?

Hun - If your cousin has done this for ten years and she is happy with the arrangement, I would just stay out of it entirely. They are having sex so you can assume they enjoy that together. There are a LOT of reasons people do not sleep in the same bed including loud snoring and restless leg syndrome or frequently needing to get up at night or insomnia...the list is long and boring. Whatever the reason is, if she makes excuses for it to you then either you should not make an issue of it or its something she prefers not to share with you or just does not really know herself. Just be happy she has someone in her life and is not alone. GBY
