I don't buy that born gay crap. There are many men who may have sexual urges toward men. But they reign it in iand realize that a woman is the way to go.

To hush hush you don't actually have to have sex to understand the immorality of homosexuality.

2006-12-05 23:26:00 · update #4

Finding homosexual sex digusting doesn't mean i'm ignorant or a bigot it just means i happen to have a moral compass which happens to be looked down upon in today's society.

When the people of God forget what God says, then this sort of thing happens. You are not alone! Those of us who reject what the world says is right simply don't watch the show anymore. When we don't watch the show and we don't buy the products, then the show goes off the air. I remember when Ellen Degeneris had her sitcom. She came all out...and the show went off the air. Now she has a talk show...and is carefully quiet to keep her personal life off it, at least that part of it.

So you haven't got an off switch on your TV? Mine does and I use it frequently!! Its the best way to vote for or against a particular show.

I think television has mastered the art of taking what is popular at the moment and blowing it out of proportion. It is fashionable today to insult people who have faith as those who don't seem to be yelling the loudest. The gay community has been yelling pretty loudly too of late and therfore it is a popular trend which is being fed by media. No different from when stay at home moms were the norm and leave it to beaver and father knows best kinds of shows were given as the example of the life All of America should lead. Although at the time there were single mothers and fathers trying to make it and they were being made to feel guilty by the media's potrayal of the perfect lifestyle. Really, who would not want to be part of the perfect family? Media is not reality though and so you simply have to choose what to watch and what not to by your own personal convictions. No one will sit in your house and make you watch a TV show that makes the Gay lifestyle more than it is. You decide on that. You also have the power to turn the TV off and read a book.

Don't know about the first part, but the second part is right.

The last time I saw this was in the 50s and 60s and it was about black people, who many religious people viewed as inferior and inherently evil and the media started playing them as fine, dandy and totally acceptable. Bill Cosby and Flip Wilson lead the way, although some TV stations refused to carry them and their shows and replaced them with local programs or re-runs of I Love Lucy.

There's a lot of things going on on TV that shouldn't be...it's the media's way of working what they think is acceptable into our culture so our children grow up seeing it and eventually become comfortable with it. I'm not being racist, but shows centered around black families started airing shortly after the civil rights movement...then eventually there were shows that showed bi-racial couples, now it's just gay people's turn and atheists' turn.

Those that believe sexual orientation is genetic...where in the DNA Code is it?

And by the way, there is a difference in equality and Godlessness. Can't we have a free country without people becoming complete idiots with no morals?

Yes. Every show that depicts Christianity shows them as bigiots that the main characters must over come. Almost every show has a token gay these days. Shows that show Christianity in a positve light, either never see the light of day or are yanked quickly. I know that the PC police want to cater to the homosexual crowd, but I'd love to see more shows that cater to the Christian crowd. Heck, I'd spring for a good show with religious tolarance that mixes many faiths without making any of them seem horrible.

Just try it. Please, name one show on cable that doesn't protray religion in a bad light.

What TV show bashes God? I wanna see that one. I can't watch TV on Sunday mornings because it's all church shows. Do you think they'll ever have an atheist/agnostic show? No, too controversial. As for the gay thing, it is fine and dandy! If you don't like it, don't watch it.

Why is it so many people are thinking about what kind of sex other people are having?

I take it you have had sexual urges towards the same sex and KNOW what you just posted to be true?

Please quit assuming you know what other people feel or think or believe. I'm sure you wouldn't want another person doing that to you.

Yes I have noticed that. Ever notice how fathers are portrayed on television? Married fathers, especially christian fathers are portrayed as adorable idiots. Always messing things up. "Dumb ol' Dad". Everyone Loves Raymond...King of Queens or even the christian neighbor on the Simpsons. Adorable and likeable characters but lack something in the mental department. As opposed to "savvy, stylish" gay men. They are portrayed as likeable intelligent characters with their finger on the keys to success. YES I've noticed.

So I guess from your comments that you are really gay but you are hiding it and pretending you like women but when you make love to a woman you are thinking about men, that's real cute, it's a bit dishonest too don't you think and one day you'll realise you never lived your own life but someone else's idea of what your life should be...what a fool.
What you are saying is as silly as "I don't buy that born black crap, blacks dye their skin don't they" ...grow up!

Okay, as you say you are a teen and you know nothing about human relationships and in that sense you truly are naive so stop mouthing off till you have some experience of life because you are making yourself look ridiculous, I find bigotry and ignorance disgusting, you should too.

You need to be more forward thinking, and not so set in you're ways. I always thought America was a a free country but since using this site it seems you still have alot of progress to make. In Europe we are interested in more important issues than other peoples sex lives. You need to become more liberal, and advance with the times as we are.
