Organ donation is a wonderful idea although I am not a donor and NO you may not donate a kidney if you have had hepatitis B. In fact the have had is not a good term as if you have had hepatitis B you still do and even if it is inactive now it may become active later. I appreciate the thought and I hope and pray that your hepatitis does not become a problem for you.

If you have had acute hepatitis B and have recovered, you can, but not if you are a carrier or have chronic hepatitis B or cirrhosis.
If you are hepatitis B surface antigen positive, you cannot; if you are negative, you can.
