I am going to Atlanta in the next couple of weeks. I have been aware that liquids & gels are banned on the plane? I wanted to bring my moisturizer but am woundering if that would be waisting my time or if they would throw it away. I dont plan on bringing it in the plane, it can stay in my luggage. but I'm scared how my face will end up looking after the week is over. hahah! So any sources or suggestions?

It can definitely be packed in your checked luggage. If it is a certain size it can come in your carry on luggage, packed in a clear 1 qt plastic bag. You should visit the TSA website http://www.tsa.gov/ they have a complete list of what you can and can not bring on the aircraft with you as well as instructions on how you should be packing your carry on luggage.

Have a great trip!

You can take liquid things in the bags you are checking and your carry on at the airport. That was lifted a while ago.

Here is a cut and paste from a newspaper online about it.

Airlines Ease Liquid Ban.
PASSENGERS flying to the US are now allowed small amounts of liquids and gels in their carry-on luggage after aviation security authorities relaxed a ban imposed two months ago.

I just found this as well. A little more reliable source USAToday's website

If it's in your checked baggage, it's good to go. If you need to carry any gel or liquid in your carry-on, it has to be less than 3 ounces, and fit into a quart-sized Ziploc-type clear plastic bag.

Put it in your luggage. If they wanna be anal, they will remove it...that's it. Just don't keep it in your carry-on. Or, you can buy your cream at the duty free store after you go through security....I always found that funny...but you can do that.

I would call your airline. The last time I flew in the States, we weren't allowed any of that stuff, but that was 2 months ago.

You could simply purchase the moisturizer in the state.
