Marks and Spencer's do a special made dunking biscuit. They are chocolate ( I have never got past the chocolate ones to see if there are any other flavours, they are sooo nice!) and survive several good dunkings. They are a touch more expensive than a packet of rich tea, but all things considered, more than worth it. You tea/coffee is practically sludge free!

Don't listen to the others, I have the answer. I've been dunking at a professional level now for 5 years and spent 11 years in the amateur leagues before that.

On average (depending on temperature and milkiness of the tea), the Jammie Dodger has to be the overall winner, withstanding approximately 10 "standard dunks" (please refer to the BDA (Biscuit Dunking Association) handbook for details on the terms of the "standard dunk").

The 'Hob Nob' is indeed a hardy variety of biscuity snack to indulge in dunking; However; personally I would recommend the classic Scottish Shortbread with chocolate chips. This is a very robust biscuit and can withstand numerous dips in the deep end before submitting to the ravages of caffeinated liquid ;-)

I think chunky kit kats are the biz. Because of the wafer, it doesn't seem to disintegrate as quickly as say a penguin or a digestive. And it takes a good few dunks to get through the thick choccy!! Mmmm your question's making my mouth water!!! I can't think of a really good smaller biscuit from a packet. Maybe gingernuts as they're quite hard to start with!!

Ginger nuts. They are harder than most biscuits. And I don't even mind if a bit drops into my tea.

A biscuit on its own must be the Hob Nob.
