This printer includes the capability of scanning, so you can use it to scan a picture into your pc. Too long to explain here and would be confusing anyhow.

Basically, you should have installed some software when you plugged this into your computer and it should have left an icon on your desk top. Click on the icon and find the button for scanning. Scan in the image which usually means placing it under the scanner cover and then clicking a button on your PC.

There should also be an 800 number to call HP to get some personal help.

The printer should have come with software to operate the scanner on the printer. Usually install some kind of "control center" on your PC when you add the printer.

Put your original on the glass of the scanner. Go into the control center and click on the scanner button. It will scan the picture in for you.

Unless you have a memory card reader you will have to get the photo physically developed, then put it into your scanner.
