I have been seeing this guy for about 3 weeks and we have a great time together. I am not sure if I should get him something for -mas or not. I don't want to get something for him if he doesn't get me something cause I wouldn't want him to be embarrased. Not sure if this is to early in the relationship to start gift giving. Help please.

I started dating a guy a few weeks before Christmas a couple of years ago. I wasn't sure what to get him, or if I should get him anything. I decided to do a small gift basket with lots of little things he would like. I put in a nice coffee mug with some different coffees, a gift certificate to the local bookstore, and some music I knew he liked. (My guy was an English teacher by the way, hence the nerdy stuff.) He really liked the basket.
I would go ahead and get your guy something. If you don't, and he gets you something, you'll be the one embarassed.

BTW, the basket must have worked...English teacher and I are celebrating our second Christmas as a married couple!

Sure get him something like a card and small gift. The fact that you would take the time to consider getting him something won't be lost on him.

I would certainly appreciate that.

talk with him about it so neither of you are embarrassed. Ask him what he thinks about exchange small gifts.

To start off with your first Christmas, buy him a music gift voucher for about £10 and some aftershave. that is adequate for your first Christmas together.

One of the things you can do if you're worried about him getting you something or not is to get him something that's easily returnable. That way, he won't know any better and you can keep going on with the relationship.

Be a cheerful giver without expecting anything in return. Remember it's the thought that counts. Good luck!
