I would highly recommend a trainer. JRT's are very strong willed and if issues start they tend to get worse not better. He is not in the proper pack place. This can be very serious.

Jack Russells need a job to burn off their energy. They are perfect for a farm where they can chase rats, ground hogs and squirrels all day. Your dog is an inside dog with gallons of high octane fuel to burn daily. Unfortunately for your family, it sounds like nipping and biting has become his 'game.' Because they are so agile and quick people tend to 'rough house' play with them, using their hands. Perhaps the Jack expanded his 'play' area to include faces etc. also.
There's also the chance he has gotten plain ol' mean, wants to be the alpha male or that there's an undiagnosed medical issues like a kidney problem etc that makes him react badly. Many male dogs need to be neutered otherwise they become bullies.
Select a throw toy for him and in an enclosed yard, throw it a thousand times until he's exhausted--and you will be too--but the dog will be 'working' and content.
Jacks get like lions in a cage if not exercised. It would be like making you stay in your bedroom all day Saturday and do nothing but sit there. You would be grumpy too. You might consider a muzzle for your own protection until the problem is resolved.
Many Jacks create their own entertainment/job like chewing up shoes, ripping apart couches, tearing down shower curtains and/or digging out the potted plants.
Also consider obedience training. Classes teach both you and the dog how to respond to commands and behave correctly.
Once a dog knows the various commands, performing them can also become a very fulfilling 'job' and you would enjoy showing off your smart dog.
Selecting the correct dog for your lifestyle is ever so important and the various breeds should be researched before picking one.
Jacks are a small, very cute dog but are difficult to live with, which is why there are so many orphan Jacks in rescue shelters. They were just too much for their families to handle.
Please make the effort to bring your dog around otherwise find him a new home with people that understand and appreciate the breed. Jack Russell people can be located through a dog club, animal shelter, farm co-op, pet store, riding stable or your vet.
Good luck.

First of all DON'T LET YOURSELF GET BIT!!!!!!!There can really only be 2 problems 1 TEMPERMENT or you taught these behaviors when the dog was small and it was cute then......and now it hurts. Now you have to stop doing the things that cause the dog to behave this way..... Next go get professional help from a good trainer before someone gets hurt.

there is also a chance that the dog behave that way because he have to much energy, if you walk a couple hours a day he will be to tired to bite or try anything
