No, generally western lullabies seem to be made up of threats to kill a child who won't shut up. Case in point, " Rock a bye, baby" what loving parent would sing this to their child?

When my daughter was young. She was particularly found of a religious lullaby tape her grandmother got her. However, I forgot the name of the artist. The ones I sing are usually not religious.

No. I sing my daughter (some both of them) every night and during the day sometimes. One daughter's favorite was "Playmate" and the other's right now is "Sing a Song of Six Pence" (though she has a few others she likes now). I have like 10 that I routinely sing...... I owe to my mother for singing to us when we were little.

I'm a Christian and personally feel that it is not a big issue, some are and some aren't, all you do is trying to put your baby to sleep, if it really is a big issue, don't sing it, Just trust in Jesus.
