I have a two way plug for computer and phone but still cannot use phone while using computer

Voice and Data are still running off the same line, so that two way plug is still only filtering into ONE phone line. Either get dsl, which "splits" your line into two parts (one for voice and one for data) or deal with the dial up.

If you are experiencing phone problems when the computer is merely turned on, as opposed to being connected to the internet via dial-up, it sounds like you very likely have a defective modem that is going "off hook" anytime power is applied to it.

Simply bc0z ur using dial up connection,ur two way plug has nothing to do with this,try using broadband

you must of 2 seperate phone lines not just a splitter. if you get high-speed internet you wil not have to worry about this problem

well, if you have dial-up....only one or the other will work....so use a service called callwave.com
