Mankind ha snot failed its purpose because there was no purpose other than to become the dominant species. All species purpose is to fit in with evolution and do their best to make their species a surviving species. Mankind has dominated and destroyesthousandsof species and is working on destroying the world and if it does then iut would have failed its purpose.

"Mankind" has no purpose to fail. There is no 'purpose' in life other than the purpose we create for ourselves. That purpose may be different for different individuals or groups. In many cases those purposes have failed, however, people keep inventing new purposes for their existance and in that sense the purpose will never fail.

The purpose of the existence of mankind is to know and love God and to put forth an ever-advancing civilization.
We have not failed, but we are certainly struggling. If mankind would cleave to the Word of God alone and not to the word of man, things would be going much smoother.

depending on the comments with techniques from non~believers we haven't any purpose except to stay love and experience free, then off the void you bypass or be reincarnated . You refuse the God of Heaven ridicule thumb your noses mock and elements him the middle digit. Make~up your human being purpose i am going to guarantee you'd be empty there'll be a void devil will fill and also you may become troublesome~hearted troublesome~headed and on Judgement Day will fall troublesome for your knees

Yes. We've failed miserably.
We were supposed to take care of the Earth, and of each other. I'm not even going to bring God into this.
But we have failed, in both of those. We've done nothing but abuse the Earth, and abuse each other. The latter is evident from the wars, and the amount of crime. The former is evident from the fact that pollution is destroying the Earth.
As for our purpose that I believe we have from God, we've fallen short of that as well.

The main purpose of life is the great commission which is proclaiming and declearing the gospel of Christ.Mankind has departed from the purpose on erath.Instead of being ambassadors of Christ,we are rather propagating the works of the devil such as fonication, craving for mundane things on the earth. The sole aim of our extense on this earth is about the kingdom.Seek ye first the kingdom of God and it's righteouseness.

Fascinating question. As my Philosophy prof used to say every purpose must have a purposer and I don't know that I am prepared to concede an overriding purpose to existence.
I guess our most basic and personal purpose would be to protect and continue our gene line. In that we are succeeding.

I hope not. Each one of us needs to find the answer in our own lives, what are I doing here? It is not easy, with all the ups and downs we face. We look at the world and all its troubles it can be confusing to know what the heck is it all for. Don't get discouraged, I believe in the goodness of most people. We will find our way.

personally, i don't think mankind has any purpose other than what it has assigned itself, - but -
if it's purpose was to breed itself into obsolesence, we done good.

According to the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, yes...however, that depends on what you think our purpose was/is.
