Ok, i asked this before, and i got good answers only none worked. I have a few files on my computer that i cannot delete. I cannot view the picture or movie clips that they are. A friend e-mailed them to me, and i cannot do anything with them. I don't even have the option to delete them when i right click. I have tried starting in safe mode and deleting, but i cannot do it there either. Any other advice would be great! Thank you!

Ok, i cannot move it from where it is. It is not a virus. I cannot rename it, and i cannot view the properties. If i delete the entire folder, it comes back after i restart.

If they don't take too much space, then stop looking at them. But you CAN delete them, by using a shredder. Search for one in Google, download it and then use the shredder to forcefully remove that file.

I don't know, what the previous answers were.
So I hope, the others you tried were:
-Check if it's not a Virus.
-Check your friend sent you a correct file.
-The file was saved to Disk, and you don't try to delete the file from the email itself.

If that didn't help:
Check where you saved the file. Windows can only handle Path names that are less than 255 characters.
So if your friend sent you a picture called "Me and my friends standing around a very long filename.jpg" and you save it into "C:\Documents and Settings\MyUsername\My Files\My folder with a very long name where I save files with very long names" you will exceed the 255 character limit, and Windows is unable to delete the file.

Try to rename the file to e.g. "short.jpg" and renaming the folder with a long name to "shorty".

Keep in mind: The "My Files" folder you see in the Start menu is only a link to the much longer folder Path "c:\Documents and Settings\MyUsername\My Files"
where "MyUsername" is your name that shows at the top of the Start Menu, when you open it.

If u can't delete it in safe mode and on top of that it came with an email then probably it is a virus. Run any virus scanner. It sd solve. If not then use Bart PE bootable Cd and go and delete it. Run Adware remover also.

I think Its may be
1.System Files
2.Virus Files
3. Read Only File.
4. The Program may be using another Person.

Like this...
So Check it carefull.
Mostly Virus coming like Image and Video Files.

I have had this problem before. Are they in a folder? If so, take everything else out of that folder and delete the whole folder. After you do that, just create another folder.

Check if there is any process you never saw
before is running.Stop it and try to delete the files.
Otherwise ignore them if they are not harmful.
