The answers are
Yes Females are recruited to join the Army
Yes Females undergo the same amount / type of training as men.
True enough that on the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) that Females have a different standard. This is correct as Females are built differently than men. Look the standards over carefully and you will see that the major difference is in the number of Push-ups required for Females is alot less than men. Sit-ups and the 2 mile run are about the same.
And as far as Females not having jobs that will put them on the Front lines ??? That is not exactly correct. What is correct is that Females can not go into Combat Arms ie... Infantry, Cavalry, Armor or Field Artillery etc...
What they can do though is become a Military Police. This is almost a guarantee to be on the front lines. Besides tell me exactly where the front lines are now in Iraq ?? It is approximately 1 meter outside of the compound and everywhere else you go til you are back in the wire.

Yes they can join the Army. Same amount of training? I doubt that. When I was in the men had to walk in -20 weather 3 miles, carrying full combat packs and rifles to the camp site. The women got to ride in heated vehicles.

Yes however women do not have jobs in the army that put them in combat situations or on the front line... there have been times in history when women have been, like the beginning of Iraq.. and they got a lot of heat for it
