what a mess....your worried about the sugar in a mint? In a mint? What a way to live...not. Why don't you simply exercise more? food..everyone misses the most important aspect..exercise...if people would exercise more they would not have to worry so darn much about food...Are you really serious about doing this? We are talking about hard work. Putting down your little debbies, getting off your butt and not only going on a diet but EXERCISING!!! Even if you lose the weight it will come right back if you do not have the desire and motivation to not only look cute but to be healthy. it is going to take alot of inner strength I can assure you of that.
1.) eat 4-5 small meals a day
2.) drink lots of water
3.)exercise every day
4.) do not eat 4-6 hours before you sleep.

Yes, certainly as long as you don't consume 5 pounds a day! Actually any simple aid that will assist in maintaining your commitment to your diet is worth using. The calories are so minimal to be not worth considering...but add 5 minutes of cardio just for good measure!
I know it sounds weird but when I dropped 50 pounds last year dieting and exercising I would suck on a cleaning washed pebble to relieve that carpet mouth feeling...especially when I would go running.
Good luck.

alot of mints are only 1 calorie like tic tacs. even if they aren't diet there can't be too many calories in them...and if it keeps you from eating alot of junk food I'd go ahead and eat a mint. They gotta be less than a giant cheeseburger, right?

sure you can... if you use CONTROL! Just eat one every four hours and do 5 jumping jacks somewhere in there to work of the five calories in regular ones (I would also advise using tic tacs, not cough drops, because otherwise you can go a little loopy if you know what I mean)

They don't recommend anything, but I found when dieting it affects my breath and the taste I get in my mouth and I (even though I shouldn't) use Tic Tacs, they have very few calories, a bit of sugar and satisfy me, besides having fresh breath. And honstely I haven't seen any difference in my weight loss.

If you're worried about eating a mint or lozenge because it might ruin you're diet you may have a bigger problem such as an eating disorder.

Sure you can, you can eat anything you want, you make what you want your diet to be. Check the calorie content on what you are eating, they should only be around 5 cals each.
