He's been like this since we got him. He's now 4 months old. His fur is also very dry and dull. We give him Science Diet puppy along with some supplements for a healthy coat. Any suggestions on how to improve his coat? Also, are there any sensitive skin dog foods for puppies?

Hmmm...my puppy had pink skin and little bumps but no itching, and it turned out to be a staph infection (common in puppies). But is this on the whole dog? Maybe it's a skin allergy, but usually there would be itching with that. I have a cat with really pink skin, and that's just his normal skin color. But the coat definitely should not be dried out. Have you been bathing him a lot?

There are sensitive skin foods, but they tend to be made by the higher end manufacturers, so they can be expensive.

Yes you would have a harder time finishing a Sheltie with incomplete pigmentation, especially when it is in a conspicuous place like a nose. Shelties are a VERY competitive breed! If the pup is still pretty young it might still fill in.

Get some olive oil....it wont hurt the pup if he licks it.
Will improve coat immediately
