my hair lacks the shine and the bounce but otherwise it is fine.can I plz get some tips to enhance the shine and the bounce of my hair?

Here are 10 tips for to keep your hair strong, smooth, shiny and beautiful!

1. Keep your diet balanced, and eat protein and calcium rich foods. Stay away from junk foods! This is essential for healthy hair.

2. Foods and supplements to nourish your hair:

3. Before washing your hair, comb it well to make sure all knots has been loosened from your hair.

4. Before applying shampoo, use warm water (35 to 38 degrees Celsius) to run through your hair to rinse and wet it thoroughly.

5. When applying shampoo or conditioner, don't use your fingernails to scrape through your hair. Instead, use your palm and fingertips to massage your scalp and hair gently, in circular motions. This will help the circulation and also help to keep your hair shiny and smooth.

6. After rinsing away all the shampoo, run water over your hair for at least another half a minute (3 minutes is best) to ensure there are no remains of shampoo remaining in your hair, since this will cause a great deal of damage to your scalp.

7. When applying hair treatment products, do so just after you have washed your hair, so that your hair can absorb all the good stuff while it is half wet. This will be the best time for it to absorb nourishment.

8. NEVER go to bed with your hair wet! Hair that is half wet is most easily broken, and if you sleep during this time, your hair will be rubbing against each other, damaging your hair in the most terrible way.

9. Too much pressure may lead to hair loss! Relax... try some good relaxation methods such as soaking in a nice scented bath, listening to music, and eating healthy comfort foods such as strawberries and grapes.

10. Perming and coloring seriously damages your hair. Avoid it as much as possible. Also, when using hair setting products such as gel or putty, use as little as possible, because they hurt your scalp and hair. Wash them out thoroughly afterwards with a shampoo specially created for removing styling products.

well firstly the proper diet would be a first step, aside from that you could try some sort of oil and leaving it for around 10 minutes before rinsing it. . .and ive also noticed that getting lots of sleep gives your hair a lot of the natural shine that i also like.

If someonemassages your head then you know how soothing it is? You can do it by yourself. Massage the scalp with finger tips gently. This help to loosen more dead particles. It also helps to improve blood circulation. Start massaging from the back of the head with finger rotating slowly and gently. Work the finger in circular movements. This gives relaxation to the muscles there.


shampooing.
Careless shampooing can be harmful for your hair either wrongly used or wrong shampoo used. Wet the hair thoroughly with warm water. Use a little of shampoo, mix with equal quantity of water and rub into hair till getting a thick froth.
rinsing.
Rinsing neatly after shampooing is very needful. Do it 3 to 4 times. The last rinse better with cold water. Add a little vinegar/lemon also make everything better.
conditioning.
Regular conditioning is good and essential and it gives extra care for your hair a long extend. The purpose of conditioning is to restore the natural condition of hair. It helps hair to manage breakage and to reduce split ends. For a rough type of hair a homely method is there -adding a little lemon is good.
drying.
Finally you have to dry your hair. Treat it with great value. Use dry and soft towel. Do not rub, just blot and dry.

also u can apply these massages:-

Hot oil massages: Warm 2 tsp. of olive oil and 2 tsp. coconut oil and gently massage every part of the scalp for 10-15 minutes. Rinse a towel in hot water, wipe and wind the hair around the head as it cools. Repeat 2 or 3 times to issue total saturation. After that, shampoo and rinse well. It is good for brittle dry hair.
Hot Caster oil massage: Warm ½ cup of castor oil, massage into scalp and gently comb it. Bind the hair with hot towel on the head, wait for 30 minutes. Shampoo and rinse. As it is home made is so good to use for scanty hair.
Clove oil honey massage. Stir well ½ cup of green olive oil with 1 cup of liquid honey. Shake vigorously. Keep the mixture to settle for a day or two. Massage into the scalp and comb it not touching the scalp. After massaging cover hair with plastic shower cap. Make it air tight to let the heat penetrate, leave like that for 20 to 30 minutes. Then shampoo and rinse well. It is good for dark hair to keep it shining and lustrous.

Natural homemade Protein treatment: Beat 1 egg and add slowly 1 tsp of olive oil and 1 tsp of vinegar. Apply it on hair and keep for 10 to 15 minutes. Apply shampoo and rinse well. This is good for all type of hair.
For oily hair Use any thin type of oil instead of olive oil and add lemon juice instead of vinegar.
If you feel sticky also it is worth to do protien treatement. Use mild shampoo twice and condition it next day.

Try different conditioner after shampoo.

Eat healthy food. Use non saturate oils and fats in your diet.

Exercise a little, releases body oils. Eat food that make your head sweat,....... body oil is release with sweat.
