To get your volume control icon back, try this:

Go to Start:
Control Panel:
find: Sounds and Audio devices
under the Volume: tab there should be a check box saying
"Place volume icon in the taskbar"
Make sure this checkbox is ticked, hit ok and you should have your taskbar volume icon back.

convinced those shortcuts use RAM. to eliminate them from ur taskbar a million. Goto commence>Run 2. form "msconfig" without the rates. A application called gadget Configuration application will open. the following goto the Startup tab and untick the classes that u dont opt for to open. wish this change into of help

its easy go to control panel and then select sound and audio devices, open the volume tab there is an option place the volume icon in takbar , select it and apply ur setting and then click ok

disappreance of sound icon from startup option means that your sounds drivers are lost so you have to install sound drivers again.

ok... if you cant find the icon ur loking for there. press the arrow button.. (in the same corner) it will extend the window..and show some other icons, that were hidden... ur volume control should now show...
