This link seems authentic (not full of incorrect info by medical wannabes). It also has a place to ask questions. I hope you find it useful. I have Thyroid eye disease (TED) and always shop my doctor options. After 20 surgeries on the eyelids and eyeballs, I am careful about what goes into my eyes, and the diagnosis I am willing to accept. I am not going to be a guinea pig. Ask questions. If the doctor is defensive, find someone you can work with. If I can try to answer any of your questions, you may email me.

I just did a web search. Go to your search bar and type in "blepharitis" and scroll down to site #3 Blepharitis - Causes, Symptoms, and Treatments. This site had infomation on hygiene for this condition. Also, did you see an eye doctor or just a G.P.? You might want to go to an eye doctor. You can also purchase an eye wash at any drugstore or Wal-mart. They eye wash will clean and sooth your eyes. Good Luck!

Blepharitis means inflammation of the eyelids. Blepharitis is often a persistent condition with no one-off 'cure'. However, symptoms can usually be eased. Once symptoms have eased, daily 'eyelid hygiene' can usually keep the symptoms away. Eyesight is rarely affected.
go to this link,, it may help you,

Warm, moist compresses can east the discomfort. Keep the eyelids clean and wash your hands often so as not to continue contamination.
