I understand familes in which there is a disabled youth do face added stresses.

Things like transport (ie to school), housing, personla care. Leisure and relationships ect.

Yes. Life is tough for most families, but if you have a disabled child you generally have a load more things to deal with on top of what everyone else has. You don't give any specific details in your question so it's difficult to know where tio pitch the answer. But there's so many more more things you have to concern yourself with. Education, health, caring (lots of disabled children need round the clock care - and though a parent can do a lot/all of this, it means other aspects of your life suffer), feeding, social integration. So, yes, it is more stressful. I'm not claiming there aren't positive areas too, and dealing successfuly with challenges is part of what makes life rewarding, but sometimes it is very stressful.

Bound to. But if you want to help then get in touch with Social Services and become a Special Needs Carer. Or volunteer at your local hospice.
OK so we'd all like our kids to be perfect and healthy but if you want an insight read "Welcme To Holland" by Emily PerlKingsley http://www.journeyofhearts.org/jofh/about/kirstimd/holland.htm

Yes of course. Its more stressful for the parents. It can also be stressful for any siblings who may get less attention than average - if they complain they feel selfish so it can be tough on them too. It takes a close knit family to cope well and raise happy kids.
