OK...first size has little to do with how much you can lift. I use to lift 250 when I weighed 165lbs in high school. I have continued to lift for 35 years.
The reason it is difficult is due to 2 reasons.
1. since you don't do it very often you don't build muscle mass or increase your strenght. Essentially you are continually starting over again and again.
2. you might be lifting impoperly or ineffectively.
I can't comment on point #2 for obvious reasons. But I suggest that you begin a routine of working out 3 days per week and begin with low weights with multiple reps. Say 3 sets of 10-12 reps to include bench, squats, lats, curls and shrugs to start. Slowly build up to higher weights and fewer reps to around 4 sets of 6 reps once you reach higher weight levels. Your frinds can assist you with the amount of weight you should increase to over several weeks.
Just don't try to do too much too quickly as you will get sore, discourgage and quit...which is typical for people who try too do too much.
I trained my son how to lift weights and he is now 6' 2'' and 190lbs and lifts more than I ever did.
Just stick with it.

surprise his butt by doing this:
Work out every other day. Give yoru muscles 48 hours to heal.
Buy some creatine, take in the AM and before you work out. Trust me on this.
Buy some 100% whey protein powder. take after you work out.
use as heavy weights as possible and do less reps ...increase by 10% or more every other week
eat well. steaks, burgers, beans etc...fruit and veggies.
You will see results in 12 weeks.

The best thing to do is to go a training routine. Try some micro-periodization. Pyramids sets will also work; however, you need to be consistent in your training.

except they don't raise perfect, no. this is somewhat good workout for kids in activities and for kids who are not into operating and stuff. you could get a toned body, more advantageous power, and for some it ought to help relieve rigidity, etc..
