There will be a New Heaven and New Earth. The world will once again become a perfect place to live, just as the Garden of Eden was a perfect place to live until the Fall from Grace. The whole Earth will be one big Garden of Eden.
There will be multitudes of resurrected souls,as you say, but not all of them will have a place on the perfect Earth. Millions will make the New Earth their home, but millions will not be as fortunate.
God is going to make a New Heaven along with the New Earth. It is certainly possible that He will make the New Heavens as habitable as the New Earth. Noone knows for sure, but God's plans are beyond our conceivability, and I believe it is going to be far grander than we could ever possibly imagine. One thing I do know, however it turns out to be, God knows what He is doing, and He will make sure there is plenty of room to spare for everyone.

Good question.
Firstly I don't think that the majority of the people who have ever lived will be going to heaven, hold on before you get angry, let me share something with you first and then you come to your own conclusion: Matthew 7:13Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Also we speak of a new heaven and new heart, who to tell maybe God will make the new earth a little bigger. If you calculated the dimensions of the city alone promised in Revelation 21 you will see that the city alone could hold a lot of people.
On the new earth, in which righteousness dwells, God will provide an eternal home for the redeemed and a perfect environment for everlasting life, love, joy, and learning in His presence. For here God Himself will dwell with His people, and suffering and death will have passed away. The great controversy will be ended, and sin will be no more. All things, animate and inanimate, will declare that God is love; and He shall reign forever. Amen. (2 Peter 3:13; Isa. 35; 65:17-25; Matt. 5:5; Rev. 21:1-7; 22:1-5; 11:15.)

Don't forget, its not EVERY person that has ever lived, God will not resurrect the wicked ones, only the good ones. Even if he did resurect everybody, science has proved that each person on earth could have around 1 full square acre of land. But the sahara will not stay a desert in the paradise, neither will other unlivable places. But no, we will not inhabit other places, god put life on earth, no where else. Hope this helps. :)

I think that resurrected bodies will only be similar to the bodies we have now but will still be different. Eating will be for pleasure, not for subsistence since we will be alive eternally. There will be many feasts and unlimited resources. We will not occupy time and space in the way we do now, so "fitting us all in" will not be an issue. I think we will live communally and some will be appointed to rule over others, but no one will be dissatisfied with what their situation is.

When God destroy the world of sin and creats the new Heaven and Earth, I'm sure He'll make it big enough for all of us.
It's amazing when you really think about it, isn't it?

What do you mean? We won't be on any planet in teh afterlife, I'm sure that heaven adn hell are infinite and therefore large enough to accommodate us all!
