Pepsi, What are the registered names of the GSD's you have shown in the ring? What breeders have you shown for as well? I am appauled at the answers you give when it comes to GSD's, Kennel's like Edan, Hickoryhill's, Joelle, are going to be surprised when I tell them they are doing it wrong with their pups not removing dewclaw's on them before they let the show pups go.

Linda, Pepsi answers questions and says she shows GSD's. She does not know much at all about the breed from what we see here. If she has shown, she should have no problem at all listing the dogs she has shown.

I doubt she will respond either. I would like to know what dogs she has shown (registered names) and what bloodlines as well she is supposedly familiar with! LOL I think that when someone asks a question about a specific breed, then the people who no nothing about that breed should not answer like idiots! It is sad to see some of the wrong info given here, and I really wonder if people believe this stuff.

Linda don't worry! Pepsi claims she knows all this stuff and she shows German Shepherd Dogs (GSD's) you were right about what GSD meant. She had made another post to another question that German Shepherd breeders remove front dew claws from pups for show, which is rarely done at all. It is not really needed in our breed. A friend of mine removed the front dew claws on a female with dry eye's, and that was needed as she would use her paws to stratch at her face, so she did this to protect her eyes.

You must have missed her friend "Brat"that is offering proof in one of her posts by saying Pepsie shows her dogs, Lahsa Apsos ( I know how to spell I just copied and pasted) The "friend" has the same spelling problems as Pepsie. So now that she has "proof" I guess all should leave her alone plus now instead of answering questions she is just saying "I got to agree with Torbaynewfs" or "hate to say it but GitEmGang is right".lol!!
I doubt she will respond to this question or any question asking for proof!!! You know in one of her answers she now claims to "show" Lhaso Apso dogs. She must be really talented, a natural handler!! lol

I doubt she will respond. She is probably off at a show! LMFAO!!
She knows no one thinks she is a real handler at all!! She knows NOTHING about dewclaws OR breeding at all. She claims to ask breeding questions here for "clients" of hers! Who here that knows ANYTHING would not SHOOT their handler if they were HERE asking dog questions?????????? And if you could see some of the questions she has DELETED!!!!!!!!!!!! They were TRUE winners!!! She cannot spell AT ALL, and either must be 8 years old, or there is something REALLY WRONG! She clearly refuses to use the spell check also!!!!
IF a handler I hired was that illiterate, I would drop them in a second!!!

I hope she responds!! It will add some humore to my day!!!!

And Jeez..remember..it is "pepsiE". Don't forget that last "E". You know we all have been spelling it WRONG forever!!

Was wondering if others would answer this question, besides Pepsie, hehe!
I have 2 breeds currently, where the breed standards required rear dew claw removal, namely Bernese and Leos. Now however, since there have been laws passed in many countries in Europe prohibiting the removal of dew claws, along with tail docking and the even more cruel ear clipping, FCI has had to review their breed standards, and none of these things is required for showing in any breed any longer.
So there you go, Pepsie, country of origin breed standards no longer require dew claw removal.

I apologise as this question is clearly not for me or my business but I would like to state a fact and my thoughts.

Is it not better to contact the breeder first to ask about the removal of dewclaws? I think it is important to understand that double dewclaws are part of certain breed standards, and may interfere with a showing career.

On a personal note, I have only ever removed my pups dewclaws when they have proved to be injury threatening, loose or clearly hazardous otherwise I think it is pointless to take them away.

I dont want to start a debate here, just my personal opinion and thoughts but I believe standards say they 'may' be removed, not they 'must' be removed which means it technically shouldn't be a problem.

Linda

Adding exra's to what I have already said:-

I apologise again, I shouldnt have answered when I really had no clues as to what pepsi has said or really what your question was asking her. I understood from your original question to her that she was not removing dewclaw's and that it was wrong with regards to showing her dogs..I misunderstood right?

From your reply to me I now understand that she claims to show her dogs but you believe otherwise right? Or are you arguing both scenario's that 1) Dewclaws should be removed & 2) you are asking her to prove her claim that she show's??

I personally do not show dogs,(I hand rear orphans, mostly kittens) but I have a little experience when my mum bred and showed her yorkshire terriers, boxers and cavalier king charles spaniels and from what I can remember none of her dogs or pups had their dewclaws removed. I personally dont see the need unless, as I stated before, it is necassary.

Gsd's? Am I correct saying that this is short for German Shepherds?

Maybe if I had referred to Pepsi's previous posts I would have understood a little more as to your reasons for questioning her. I am sorry for sticking my beak in where it wasnt required.
Linda

LMAO!!!

I'd be amazed to hear that she's done more than stumble around the ring in 4-H or ***MAYBE*** been handed the lead on a FILLER dog at a REAL show!!

She'd never touch one of MY animals!
