In science class, we were learning about the planets. We watched a video, and it said Earth was created by the other planets! That sounded ridiculous to me. I asked my teacher if there were and Christian - based scientists who believe that God created Earth, and she said she wasn't allowed to answer that! Why?

Yes, I did understand the video. It said that Venus gave Earth water, and that's why there are dry riverbeds in Venus.

Because it is not allowed to teach religion in school unless it is a religious school. I think it's a crock, if they are going to teach one theory, then they should be able to touch on all. I also do not see why my child cannot be given 1 minute before school to say a prayer, even a silent one. I have no problem with that minute being designated for all or no religions to say a silent prayer to their dieties. If it is a moment of silence in respect for all it should not be an issue.

The laws we now have don't allow public schools to teach about ideas that come from religious faith. I personally am a Chistian, but I would prefer that teachers who don't believe in Creation would not teach about it. They can do much harm with sarcasm and hatred. Let Science learn about How, Faith answers Why.

Because the answer is yes. She doesn't want to tell you the truth. The Big Bang Theory is a Theory, whcih is left unproved. But, God did create the Earth and this universe, and scientists believe it too. Don't let anything in school change your faith in God!

Good Luck

I really think you misunderstood that video. The planets all condensed from a disk of material that was around the sun. The other planets have effected the Earth but didn't create it. Gravity did.

Your teacher is not allowed to add her bias into your views, ie: she can't tell you what to think! I believe that God is all powerful so he can plan for the creation of planets through a scientifically sound manner! What you believe is up to you!

Steadfast in your faith, about creation they can't teach nothing that you already know. You know God created the heavens and the earth. You have the best book which teach the truth your Bible.

There is this thing called Seperation of Church and State. According to Law, you are not allowed to discuss God in the public classroom.

Because school exists to TEACH you critical thinking and how to find answers yourself.

If Christianity ran public schools, it would go something like this:

"To learn about biology, turn to the book of Genesis."

"For today's lesson in social science, refer to Sodom and Gomorrah."

"If we don't win this football game, the ENTIRE TEAM will burn in eternal hellfire for their non-belief!"

"No, no, Jimmy, instead of 'you are' we use 'thou art' in proper English."

"Sorry, Sister, the Devil ate my homework!"

So contrary to what you have been led to believe, you do NOT have all the answers to the universe in your little book of verses.

It's because there are ppl trying to get God out of our schools. And if we let them, they'll soon be looking to take Him completely out of our lives. I don't know about anyone else, but God comes first in my life and always will!

Religion has as much business being in schools as manure has in being in meatloaf. There are no such things as gods, superstition is not science.
