I would say, working to make a life for urself. It's always good to have parents back u up in the things u want to do, but by doing something urself and being successful on ur own can bring better self confidence and u will feel a greater achievement by doing something on ur own.

If you're asking if it is better to go out and get a job, or go to college and depend on your parents, I would have to say go to college and depend on your parents. Doing that, you are still making a life for yourself for the future. Also, if you don't want to depend on your parents, maybe you could get a part time job while you go to school.

It is possible to do both. If you are studying to get a degree so that you can make a good life for yourself then I think that's a good reason to live at home for that time. My Niece lives at home, goes to University of Miami, is on the Deans List , is a cheerleader and works part time. She is saving her money from working to get a place of her own when she graduates. I think that's a smart thing to do, because she is working toward both at the same time...her studies and saving for when she's finished and ready to start on her own.

If you go and study, you will be able to get a good job after that and you get both. You might be depended on your parents now, but that will not be for ever, so you should just study and get a good job and make you mam and dad proud of you.

It will pay off.

Good luck.

Actually I feel they are one in the same. If you have a chance to study just know that in the end it will benefit you to making a more secure life for yourself. My mother use to tell me that they can take your money , car, house, etc. but nobody can ever take away what you learn.
