A coffee maker, sometimes called other things like "automatic drip" coffee maker or "automatic coffee maker" or something like that.

Get some coffee filters, either "basket" or "cone" style depending on your coffee maker.

Fill the glass caraffe with cold water, then pour into the coffee maker's reservoir. Open the filter holder, put in 1 filter, then measure the amount of coffee you want to make and put in the ground-up coffee in the filter.

Turn on the switch. Be sure you've put the empty caraffe under then "drip". The machine heats the water and pumps it up in a shower over the fresh ground coffee. The filter keeps the coffee grains from getting in the caraffe.

After you've done it a couple times, it's very easy -- easier than my description!

Filtered coffee is exactly what the name says.

Put course ground coffee in a paper filter and pour boiling hot water through it.

Now there are many different types of machines and containers to make filtered coffee. The normal electric coffee maker that uses the paper filters is the easiest and now the most common.

If you live where it is not easy to get such machines then you also can use a cloth that is clean and has a very close weave. Put the coffee in the cloth and place the cloth over the mouth of a large jar or any good glass cntainer. Slowly pour boiling water through the coffee and cloth.

The coffee is a different matter. If you can buy ground coffee for filter machines then that is the easiest. If you can get coffee beans then slowly roast them to a chocolate brown colout and then grind and make your coffee.

Coffee roasted and grund for espresso and that kind of coffee will not work very well for filtered coffee. To begin with those coffee beans have been roasted to the point of being burnt. Not god for your health.

Have fun and happy hunting.

Go to a store and tell them that you want to brew coffee. They will show you the coffee powder which you can brew. Boil the water first. Then pour the boiling water into a cup. Add some coffee powder into the cup. Put the lid on top of the cup. Let it brew about an hour. Sift the coffee with a piece of cloth. Then you can have a brewed coffee.

You probably have a Walmart?
1. Go buy a coffeepot there, the directions are on and in the box.
2. Go buy a can of coffee. Read directions.

ASK someone to show you, like in a restaurant or even the Walmart. Everyone enjoys helping others.

I think this is all you need to know unless you are in a Country where you would not normally have such items.

the best coffee comes from Venezuela and Colombia, I really recommended to you best thing is to boil water put the coffee into a cloth filter put water into it and drink it right away if you heat it again it will taste bad so you only need pure Latin American coffee a piece of cotton as a filter and a cup and is such a sensual smell in your house guau try it sorry about my English I live in Venezuela

you only need to pour the boiled water through the coffee grounds sitting in the filter. use 2 large tablespoons of grounds for a big cup ( that's a little stong, adjust to taste ). it's ready as soon as you stop pouring and the water has passed through the filter.
