My sister is 17 and she's never gone on a date. I'm 14 and have a boyfriend. I just don't know if I even should be dating. He's liked me for two years and finally had the courage to ask me out, and I said yes but I'm not sure if what we're doing is dating or just hanging out cause it's not like we've actually gone out on a date, we just hang out at eachother's house. Should I even be dating?

You're 14. U shouldn't be thinking so serious about relationships right now. It's okay to hang out and just talk to other boys but as far as being having a deep dating relationship-u need to just stick to having fun. There is nothing wrong with what u are doing now as long as u are comfortable about it. And if u feel like ur not ready to go any futher than that then don't. It's not up to the other person to decide what u want, make ur own descions about what u wanna do. And as far as ur sister goes, I think she isn't dating by choice not because she can't get one.

You could be dating, if you want to, you have a good age for it, you are 14 now.....so go for it.
Your sister is 17 and never had a date, maybe she can't get one, or doesn't want one, but that's not because of her age. I'm 22, and I don't date, not because I'm to young, but just simply....I don't want to.
You should go on a date with your bf, just go see a movie and eat something.....that's a date..

Good luck....

You date when you find the right person, not just because everyone else is doing it
If you like your boyfriend, then date him, if you like him as friend only - tell this ti him and try to keep your friendship.
I personally think ( I am 34), that there is no certain age you should start dating, it depends more with whom you are dating
Hope this helps...:-)

Best age to start dating is 15-16... because I'd dated first at that time

well as girls are said to be grown up early.. so there is not a problem with dating.

It all depends upon your thoughts how mature are they and at this age of Ur's I think you can take enough wise decision at least regrading dating.. follow what Ur heart says.

you will get thousand opinion on this ... just go in the direction of Ur heart

I think 15 to have a real boyfriend and 16 to start going out on dates (meaning actually leaving the house). If he wants to visit now at your house, or you go to his (supervised), that's good.

I think it's great that you're putting so much thought into this! If you are doubting that you're ready to be dating, you may not be ready. Why not talk it over with your parents? I'm sure your sister could help too.

In West Virginia you can date relatives starting at 6 yoa. and can go all the way with cousins at 7yoa. By their standards you are an Old Maid.
