I hate to say this.....but I know exactly what kind of women you are talking about.
They give the rest of us a bad name.....I don't blame you....I would not want someone like that either.I would say....if you meet one....kick her to the curb and move on....don't waist your time.

Seriously do you have no compassion!? Everyone makes mistakes. I'm sure you have made a few in your time. It's not that these men start off abusive. They are the complete opposite and can stay like that for a long time. These women you talk about are manipulated beyond belief. They see only the good, you could say it's because they are nieve. Once they get involved it's hard to get out. They believe they are in love. The men convince them every time that it's in their head and they are wrong. These women are broken by men like this an while you may blame them, you can't know until you have been there and done it. There are women out there that are the same. I'm with rainboworrior 73 on that last comment couldn't have put it better myself!

Oh, and it's not as if guys totally understand women either. Yes, some women are insecure and will jump into bed with some guy in order to feel like she matters to someone, but are these guys that she's jumping into bed with aware of this? No, they're just thinking they're going to get some and don't care that there may be emotional reprocussions on her part. Ladies: if you're not enough of a person before having sex, you're not going to be enough after.

Women who 'end up' with violent men are normally in that situation because the man didn't start off being violent. It is a gradual process in which the womans self belief, self esteem and strength are slowly eroded by an increasing cycle of criticism, apologies and charm, psychological abuse, apologies and not so much charm then physical abuse followed by accusations, blame and threats. It can take years to overcome the damage caused by an abusive relationship and some women never do, feeling they are 'damaged goods' and undeserving of a proper, caring partnership. And its not just women who go through this either.
Your attitude isn't attractive.

Nobody wants 'used goods' really, but people do make mistakes and marriages that seem fine at first, even for a few years, can degenerate badly. It isn't necessarily one partners fault if they end up in an abusive relationship when it seemed normal for ages at first.
I do like that you've got the self righteous, irritating people on yahoo answers all upset though, good job on that. I despise the sort of twats that infest this place and its always a laugh to get some of the cunts frothing at the mouth with self righteous anger. What a bunch of worthless sacks of flesh.

A lot of women are just insecure. We've been expected to get married young, and if we don't the world suspects something's wrong with us! That's why women hold on to their men like that, even if they are pigs! As for virginity, a lot of women feel as if they have to "give it up" to hold their man. If they don't he might leave, and then there may be no one else! Poor saps! Fortunately, I wasn't raised that way. I didn't get married until I was in my late twenties. I married a good man too! It pays to take your time and be picky!

OK it's true that some women are fools and some are total bitches but our position is made even more difficult by the fact that if we fall pregnant as you say who is left holding the baby??????????

to be honest i wouldn't save myself for someone who can call a woman used goods. we generally make bad choices with men because of low confidence and self esteem. and while that is SO cliched no happy healthy balanced person gets into an abusive relationship without seeing the signs and pissing off. also in this world i'm sorry to say a lot of women combat their loneliness and feeling alone in this world by popping out a sprog but they don't have this physical emotional or mental skills to look after themselves let alone a child so that child grows up lonely and the cycle continues.
