Dont get that car. Its worth it now, but in a few years, it wont be.

Get a Honda Odyssey or a Toyota Sienna. Those are reliable family cars and a lot cheaper than the X5

Depends I run a brokerage and supply NEW X5s all the time. Im hoping the new model will be better than the old one because the build quality is terrible.

If you are buying new you will be covered under warranty, but BMW dealers are pretty crap on customer service. I know I used to sell BMWs for a year many moons ago.

It is not just X5 that are unreliable most BMWS are today. They are in big trouble mercedes went through a simular thing 8 years ago cutting costs.

I have got a Audi Q7 and I would highly recomend it very very good car and so far problem free.

I you want som prices on any momake and model all dealer supplied visit my website www.IntroCars.co.uk. We only supply new cars but with big savings.

Oh and consider the Land Cruiser not as spoty but great to drive and supper reliable.

Oh dear. Not a good idea. Ask yourself these simple questions.

Am I a farmer?
Will I ever be a farmer?
Will I need to pull tractors from ditches?
Will I need to tow horses or amazingly big caravans?

If you answered Yes to any of these you may well need a 4X4 but not the mobile Essex disco called the BMW X5.

If you answered No then I suggest a more suitable family car like the BMW 3 series Mercedes C class. Or you could buy a Mondeo and give me the leftover cash.

p.s. I will also take cheques.

its sad you aren't aware how expensive an X5 is.. yes they are expensive cars to buy, maintain and run but if you have the means... why not! whats the point of having money if you can't enjoy it right?and believe me enjoy it while you still can!

Im sad to say every jealous tree hugger and his councillor will be trying to tax you to the high heavens unfortunately in the very near future, it's the way things are going :(

Coming soon the oxygen tax, make people who live in the country therefore have better quality air pay for it!

They are typical Chelsea tractors, probably the worse of the bunch with the exception of the Porsche Cayenne. If you want to be hated and laughed at then get one (then get the obligatory number plate with X5 somewhere in it). They are a middle class chav car or (more likely) a chav thats able to get finance. Aviod like the plague!

Diesel is cheaper than petrol, but they still cost a packet, just got rid of my Jeep as it was costing £80 to fill up and only doing 15miles to the gallon, get a lexus hybrid instead.
