I have read and have seen on here that the Quran is correct in all things.
If the Quran was spoken from Father to son, Father to daughter, from Generation to Generation, Who is to say that the Quran is 100% accurate?

Studies have been done to show that when someone is told a statement, then in turn is to tell this said statement to another, then the other is told to go out and tell the statement to 50 people, At the end of the day, The said statement will in no way resemble the statement that was started.

Who is to say with this telling of the Quran in the beginning, that a mistake could have taken place?

Bless all who answer

Spoken stories passed down do get altered over time, but the Quran was not transmitted this way.

Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself was illiterate, but after he got a following, he had people transcribe for him. At one point, he had 20 scribes copying down every word God revealed to him. Also, every Ramadan he would recite 1/30th of the Quran each day until the entire book was recited in the month. In the last Ramadan before he died, he did it twice that month, and many people had memorized it completely, they are known as a "Hafiz of Quran."

Shortly after his death, the Muslim community came together to use the new Chinese invention, paper, to copy down and compile the text so that it could be sent to cities around the world. (Prior to that, they would send a Hafiz or a written portion on leather or camel bone). There were hundreds of people who had memorized the entire book, and every Muslim knows at least a few Surahs from it. The book was compiled with full view and participation by the public. If there was any change, the people who recited it would immediately notice, or Muslims in the neighboring countries.

Two of those Qurans still exist today, 1400 years later. These Uthmani (also called Usmani) Qurans are in museums in Turkey and Uzbekistan, and their words are identical to any Quran you can find today. Today, there are over 3 million people worldwide who have the title of Hafiz.

What you're refering are news reported people to people in the same generation, without error correction through comparison.

But people usually compare memories, and also notes.

So instead of A -> B -> C, it goes C <-> A <-> B <-> C <-> A .

In computer terms, it's called parallel computing.

The Orbiter part of the Space Shuttle was designed to work with four main computers working at the same time that compare and correct each other.

The Jewish Torah and early Christian Testaments were passed down by mouth and subsequently written and further translated much earlier than the era when the Quran was compiled, i.e., the same lapse of communications could be applicable for the Hebrew, Christian and Muslim traditions, although less on Islamic tradition since Islam came centuries after Christianity, and emerged in a world which was already steeped in written records.

However, all these 3 groups of Believers of the Book accept that these records were words inspired by God and his Messengers and much thought and prayers have gone into deciphering and translating God's message based on the meaning and intent of the information which have been passed down by the early Prophets.

In loose terms, The Christian Old Testament is based on the Jewish Torah while Islam accepts the teachings from both faith-practices and builds on it with the teachings and revelations received by their Prophet Muhammad.

Theoretically it could happen like you described. However, the Koran was written down shortly after Prophet Mohammad died, in the same language it was revealed and spoken by Prophet Mohammad. Thus it was reserved from that time until now. Because so many Muslim ancestors and today's Muslims know it exactly by heart and to the letter, it would not be possible to misstate a word, or even a letter, without someone noticing.

when you talk about the Bedouin Arabs, you're talking about a remarkable Linguistic Ability, They spent all day Making Wonderous poets.

Being people with linguistic features and a high ability to memorise, God sent the Qur'an as a Challenge, when they failed to come up with a book similar in rhetoric and eloquence.

we have to acknowledge their ability to memorise, besides, The Qur'an was also written on leather and Paper, also stones, (seperatley)

but was not officially put together untill 20 years after the prophet's death.

hundreds (if not thousands) of Muslims have already memorised the whole book by heart and would have alerted any mistake in it.

The fact that the Quran is in it's original from since it's revelation and has never been altered is proof that it is 100% correct. The truth cannot be altered and always prevails.
