best way TO LEARNthe English language.....?
I AM AN ENGLISH teacher for non-native speakers. 15 years' experience with this. You can:
1. Pay for lessons at a school.... expensive!
2. Or try the following free lessons.
You should look at photos in a magazine and describe what you see. Ask a native English speaker to listen to you,and help you correct the sentences. Memorize the words.
NEVER speak your native language during the lesson. Train your brain to make "English rules" compared to your language. Make bad sentences if you must... don't be afraid...it is all a part of learning.

Make questions 50% of the time. Asking questions is part of speaking fluently. For example, a person in the photo is walking on the beach. Ask, "Where is he? Where is he walking? What is he doing? Is he tall or short? Is he happy or .... excuse me, what is the opposite of happy?"
When you can ask questions, you are your OWN teacher.
Don't only listen and read and watch difficult TV programmes. SPEAK OFTEN.

Write short letters to English_kahuna@yahoo.com . The kahuna will write you back, correcting your mistakes, and make a little lesson for you........ good luck, Trevor

Learning English is actually a lot easier nowadays. I would definitely suggest watching a lot of English television, reading lower reading level English fiction, and getting together with a group of English speakers and/or trying to use the language with passerbys. You may think that people will make fun of your lack of English, but I really believe that random people can really help with language. Good luck!!

The English language is a langauge that has a whole lot of rules ranging from very general concepts to incredibly specific exceptions. Apart from the standard memorizing of words, you can make things a whole lot easier for yourself if you learn these rules. For example, a very common mistake for people that speak English as a second language is to misuse plural vs singular nouns, so learn how to recognize plural vs singular nouns and the rules for when you should use them.

Once you learn a few key concepts, it's really just a matter of practice, trial and error.
