When you see a much older man with a much younger woman, do you assume she is with him because she had no father figure?
Do you assume the older man has lots of money?

If the woman had a father figure and the older man was poor, would that make it more legitimate?

I'm asking because I am dating a much older guy, and sometimes I wonder what people are thinking when they see us out together.

I am engaged to the love of my life. He is 13 years older than me.
I had the most wonderful father a girl could ever have.

My future-husband is not the richest guy i know but i still love him to death.

I never cared about what other people might thinmk when they see us. His and also my parents are ok with this situation. My parents love him and respect my feelings for him and his family see me as "one of them".

I don't think there is a "too old". Age never matters if there's love ivolved.
I was always attracted to older guys because i was sick of the younger inmature ones.

hmm...well, I didn't have a father figure in my life...I met my father when I turned 18. I am 25 now, and have been in a relationship for close to 7 years, we have two children together..we started dating just before I met my father. My boyfriend is 33, so we are 8 years apart. It wasn't the fact that he was older that attracted me to him, it was the person he was that made me fall in love with him. I had never dated a man so much older than me until him, but it wasn't because I wasn't attracted, I just was young and guys who approached me were my age.

I don't think it should matter the age, as long as the feelings you have for the person are true, and not that you have a thing for his money more than him

I've had two older lovers 20 and 10 years old than me. They were not a Father figure, I have a great relationship with my Dad.

I love dating older guys because they have more time for their partners, lots of experience of life and sex. Also more caring and loving than younger men.

She is probably seeking the father figure she never had. Yea i would say it would be more legitimate if the girl did have a father figure and the older man was poor.

I assume she is missing something in her relationship with her father, most girls try to find a man that most resembles the relationship she had with her father. Either that or she's out for his money. Or maybe the guys her age are too immature to have a serious relationship and are just players. The she might want to find someone who wants to be true to her and not play her.

That is not always true. My father was very active in my life and I love older men. I am 23 and I am in love with a 36 year old.

Women mature alot faster then men do and this is why alot of women are attracted to older guys. Every since I can remember I have been with older guys... Right now I'm 33 and my boyfriend is 43..Its all about maturity levels.. I'm sure there are some women out there who date them for there money, especially if they are way older...

I suppose a lot of it depends on the age difference. I mean, what does a 20-some year old girl have in common with a man in his 80's? In a situation like that, I believe that if he wasn't rich, she wouldn't be on his arm. I mean, look at Anna Nicole Smith, how old was the guy she married? She claims the money had nothing to do with why she was with him, but when his family protested his will, she sure as hell fought to be able to keep his money.

All girls want to feel secure in their relationship. So older men seem more appealing. They hopefully have some career path and life already made for themself. Which is always attractive.
