So.. I've been thinking about getting another tattoo.. like you do after you get one.. or a few. Anyways I was considering putting the next one on the back of my neck. A friend of mine is designing a tattoo and so the object of 'what do I get' is answered enough. I have various tattoos, mostly non-visible (all but 3 are on my back or in places that most anyone won't ever be seeing)
Any thoughts, concerns, ideas or feedback concerning this??
Examples:
Pain factors?
Appeal?
Unappeal?
Size?

I'm just mildly curious about suggestions etc.. I know I'm getting it.. I know vaugly what size and all it'll be I'm just looking for further input :)

who cares what others think.
a tattoo is permanent.
once you stop worrying whether others find it 'appealing' then you know you should get one.
do it for yourself, not others.
and yes, i would imagine it is painful.

If u r getting tattos on the places where people cannot see them what is te need of tattos ...
i mean it sounds goods if u have tattos all over the body so if people cannot see some under the belt it does not matter much but if u have only a few u should get them at places visible.
Neck tattos r very good and appealing u could get colored tattos whch could look better but they should not b too big just the size of a coin or so..
u could choose between dragon aor some animal to logos of beauty or power...
u could also try tattos on your feet they r seductive (if u r a female)and they r visible too !!!!

I have seen a few people with tattoos there and i think its quite cool, especially when they tie there hair up and you can see it,i wouldnt have a clue what the pain would be like, try pinching your neck,i just did and it didnt hurt that much, but yeah i know it would after a thousand pricks by the tattoo needle,
Get something that means alot to you,my friend had a japanese symbol on hers which in english meant her name.
I think overall its a great idea,go for it - goodluck!

I have 15 tattoos, and I can honestly say (from my personal opinion, anyway), that a tattoo on the back of the neck of a female is probably one of the least attractive places you could put one.
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure if the tattoo was feminine enough, it might look just fine...
But I don't think I'll ever have one there.

it will be cool and this time you have a choice of showin it off when u feel like. i suggest you to go for some elongated design, which streaches from left to right of ur neck. as for pain, i guess yu are a strong enuff to handle as u already have a few f den tattooed.

i have two tatts, one is between my shoulder blades up to nearly my neck. i had it done when i was 18.
i am now 22 and a teacher, and totally regret having a partially visable tattoo.
it's not really very nice bumping into a child's parent at the shops looking like ur a biker or whatever hahahaha :P
better to get a tattoo somewhere easy to hide incase u wish to hide it in the future due to family, career, personal taste etc.

Re: Rosita. I like Bill Marr's joke: "Just because you have some Asian characters tattooed on you doesn't make you spiritual. It probably says beef and broccoli anyway." And you know what, this is true. I saw a girl on a show and she was from Asia and she was translating peoples tattoos and she said they just had the vaguest similarity to what they were supposed to say. It is not like a tattoo artist is a linguist from MIT or something.

i have a butterfly on the back of my neck with my name under it. I suggest getting something small and no matter what size, it will be a bit painful since it is pretty much on your spine.

hey my husband is tattooing and i think it will hurt a bit while you get it done but anyways I would choose one you can show if you want but you can also hide it when you feel like it by have your hair open... would not choose one that is too big a nice, small piece would be good for that spot
