They are all over the top of my tounge about 30 of them they go right down to the back of my tounge, If i eat anything salty they seem to burn and sting a bit but i am ok with hot drinks.

It is an infection of bacteria. Take a Vitamin B complex Capsule
Daily for 10 Days if this does not cure then consult a physian doctor.

They're usually as a result of some kind of bacterial infection and tend to go away after a few days. Usually you get them before or after something more noticable (I had them after I had Bronchitis).
