this is a theoretical question: After he proposes, tell him that if we get married, that there will be no sex, and thats the rules. And if he still wants me, means its true love. or is that just torture?

love and marriage
it's an institute we can't disparrage
this i tell ya sister
you already changing everything, even before signing the paper, you'll just scare the poor bastard into running away as he'll think everything else will change i.e. no more fun, all down hill and life will settle down to be boring like a dull life, so i recommend you steer well clear and take the man of your dreams and run with it.

Why do you think you get to make 'the rules'? It take 2 people for a marriage to function properly. That seems kinda controlling anyway.
Theoretical or not, that's just dumb.
Would you actually consider marrying someone then not having sex with them or would you just cheat on them? Theoretically, of course.

I think that that's unfair! When you get married to someone there is a need to be completely "one" with the one you love. If that is denied just because of a whim (not because of physical disability or some other unfortunate circumstance out of your control) then it is plain mean and inhuman! Why not just tell him that there will be no intimacy and no sex before marriage? I think that is a better test!

that's a fine idea. Misrepresent yourself and expect him to want you anyways because, after all you're you. Who wouldn't want a sexless marriage if they had you instead of sex. I already feel bad for this sucker. you're one manipulative snot to even think in those terms.
Why not get really crazy with it and tell him you have AIDS and are wanted by the FBI and Interpol too for your involement in an international child porn ring. yeah wouldn't that be funny
If you really want to know if he loves you for you then maybe you should consider showing him who the real you is. Don't be afraid to be open and honest with him now before you get married. He'll figure it out anyways before too long. May as well know if he wants you before the marital contract that binds you together for life is signed.

I think that's a great way to find out if he really loves you, because after all, what man would agree to a rule as stupid as that if he didn't love you more than anything else?

No.......that's manipulative and cold.
This guy has already shown you that his intentions are honourable. What more do you need?
For most couples, children are usually a major factor in their lives and guess what.........without sex there's usually very few children! (Unless IVF is your plan but then that's hardly romantic is it?)

He'd only agree if he were gay or lying or if he's marrying you for your money/property/family connections/feather boa collection... so, no, it's not a good idea.
