It's careless people like you who shut the job down nowadays by causing an unnecessary bomb scare. I really DO hope it's found AND destroyed, then by the time you moan to all your friends about it, neither they nor you will EVER leave anything behind again on public transport or anywhere it's likely to cause a bomb scare.

go to any station fill in the date and approximate time you left it, if you remember, it takes less than 3 minutes, tey contact you by email if they find it and then they keep it for up to 3months before it is destroyed.
Thats probably your best bet
