Salaam alaikum wa rahmatullah wa baraktoh

One of the basic teachings of Islam is that the Bible were 'corrupted'. i think the Quran says that THEY HAVE ALTERED THE MEANINGS AND CHANGED THE WORDS FROM THEIR POSITIONS.

Here's the thing:How can you be certain to use the Bible to prove That Muhammad (s.a.w) was a prophet?

Thank you / Shukran

We don't need to Prove anything from the Bible, it's just fun to see the Christians try to Justify it.

also The Qur'an didn't say that the ENTIRE Bible was corrupted.

No Muslim can use the Bible to prove that Muhammad was a prophet as Muhammad wasnt even mentioned in the Bible. The Prophets who really was, are mentioned in the Bible by NAME and you will also learn the history of these Prophets. You will also find that they lived along time on this earth.

The Bible makes no indication or mentions the name of Muhammad not even once, however it makes references to false prophets (not named) and how to detect a false prophet. See 1 John 4 etc.

It is funny however, how Muslims who state that the Bible is so "corrupt", refer to the Bible so heavily when it comes down to proving Muhammad's existence and Prophet hood by misunderstanding the "wording" of the Bible. Some people on this forum have clearly stated that the Comforter Jesus sent was actually Muhammad and tried to make comparisons between Muhammad and Moses, God's servant.

If Muslims read the Bible properly it would be crystal clear that the Comforter is the Holy Spirit who is still with us and that Muhammad is nothing like God's servant Moses.

Muhammad is a human being who didnt have the same relationship with God as the other prophets, he was possessed by demons, tried on many occassions to commit suicide and wasnt forewarned about his death. He obviously did not walk with God the Father, who is the Only One God, the God of Truth and Life.

This is not to offend. Read the Bible as its the Gospel Truth.

Walaikum assalaam wa rahmatu Allah wa barakaatuh,
We cannot call it 'the teachings of Islam'. Islam does not teach us that the Bible is corrupted. We found some contradictions with our Holy Book, hence we said it must have be tampered with.
I wonder if you have seen the vers, in the Quran, that says: "Jesus told his people a Prophet will come after me..." since this is not in the Bible (besides other facts), how can we use the Bible to prove what you asked for? It is not there, this gave some a reason for doubting Mohammed (pbuh) and calling him 'false'. It does not matter, we believe in him.

God guarded the Torah and the Injil, but that don't mean scholars (ahli kitab / people of the book/order) can't mess up the translation.

The same goes for the Qur'an. I mean that in the Qur'an, words such as "hole"/"empty"/"gap" got mistranslated into such thing as "vital parts" and "reproductive organs."

Some scholars are just plain loony.

As for "How can you be certain to use the Bible to prove That Muhammad (s.a.w) was a prophet?"

Good fruits come from good tree.

The validity of the original Bible in not in question it is the versions that came after that have been manipulated by Christian leaders at the time of the Bible to suit there lifestyles.
The Bible does state that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was a prophet and states his coming.A Muslim scholar would point this out with no problem.

I CAN TELL YOU...
Muslims believe that the corruption took place in the bible is all that has something to do with Jesus being son of God or being a soul God , because to Muslims, God is unique and has no son or affiliate or similarities....etc

Other values in bible like social etiquette , like main principle of serving God , .....etc including prophecies of Muhammad are believed to be true by Muslims.

They do not deny all that is bilical or all that is Christians..

We didn't use the bibble to prove that Muhammad was a prophet who said that the only thing that we know's about that in bibble that prophet Jesus said that thier's another prophet will come after me his name is ahmed .
and yes Quran tell us that bible was corrupted ( but it's not one of the basic teachings in islam )
which bible is the true one ? you have hundreds of bibles
(don't that indicate that it was corrupted )
you will say it was translated from latin to diffrenet languages but you have changes in every virgin of bible you can find here something you can't find it in another virigon
but in Quran it's one virgon and it have a lot of mircles in it in a lot of things such as scince if you are interested i can give you links for that

In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate Ever Merciful

Well dear friend, yes Bible is corrupted...But It may contain some unaltered part in it.

Now...how to find those part? One criteria is that those parts must support whatThe Glorious Quran says.

But..this is not cent per cent correct method...but something is better than nothing!

We can't.

But we just point it out to those who believe in it.

They can't. They put more importance on muhammad than they do Jesus Christ that ought to tell you something right there. The Bible is the Word of God and Jesus Christ is the Son of God!
