"When it comes to bullshit, big-time, major league bullshit, you have to stand in awe of the all-time champion of false promises and exaggerated claims, religion. No contest. Religion easily has the greatest bullshit story ever told. Think about it. Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything we do, every minute of the day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever!

But He loves you, and He needs money! He always needs money! He's all-powerful, perfect, all-knowing, and all-wise, somehow just can't handle money! Religion takes in billions of dollars, they pay no taxes, and they always need a little more. Now, you talk about a good bullshit story. Holy ****!"

BC, How is satan keeping god from showing himself ?

You ever notice, it's humans that, make up what they believe about god?
The devil and god have nothing to do with it, your religion is completely on it's own.

He may be talking about certain branches of Christianity, but all religions aren't like that.

No, Satan has. Satan is the real master of deception; and he is the real power behind most of the world's religions -- including atheism. His two biggest deceptions are: he doesn't exist; and, popular Christianity is God's chosen belief system.

God's people know that Satan does indeed exist and that true Christianity is nothing like the well known popular system.

I appreciated what he said about it in the book "Brain Droppings":

"The only good thing to ever come out of religion is the music."

I love George Carlin ! I'd gladly follow him through the gates of hell, if I believed in them. I'd rather spend eternity in hell with a funny muthafukka like him than spend it in heaven with a boring a*s*shole like jesus. EDIT:Blow me you christian a*s*sholes! If you weren't constantly reinforcing my belief that you're a bunch of mean-spirited, spiteful a*s*sholes, there'd be no evidence for my conviction and I'd drop it.Every thumbs-down you give me earns one of you bastards a punch in the throat when you come to my door with your pamphlets! Don't think I won't do it.
