Tiles - your kids might slip and fall on lino. Especially when wet. (The lino, not the kids)

However, lino is easier to clean, but nevertheless tiles are the quality option.

Lino - it is warmer an more cushioned under your feet and easy to clean. If the kids fall on lino they wont hurt themselves on it as badly as on the tiles. I have tiles on my kitchen floor and if I drop a glass etc it explodes in a million pieces and is nearly impossibe to clear up all the shards. Remember, tiles are pretty permament whereas you can change lino every few years if you get tired of it as its so much cheaper than tiles. There are some really nice tile-effect designs now. I have it in my holiday home and it is great!

Lino isn't an progression in fee. Tiles are tougher wearing for particular yet a pair of issues are evoked. A white tile floor is incredibly not undemanding to maintain finding sparkling, a minimum of it may be in my homestead. it may in simple terms look sparkling for approximately 4 hours once I washed it, perhaps not even that, and there is not any way in the international that i choose a kitchen floor that desires daily interest to look ok. in simple terms can not ensue. If i bought a house with a white tile floor, which would be right of my record of issues to alter. White is a shade that unquestionably makes a community look greater whether that is chilly and sterile finding in super parts and would not be a shade i could %. for any floor. Tile is likewise plenty tougher and something breakable which you drop on it is going to interrupt nevertheless that still may well be authentic of lino with tile straight away below it.

Tiles will last longer than lino, lino will start to brittle after 3-4 yrs
and it will start splitting easily around the edges.

Lino is (allegedly) slightly antiseptic (real lino) as it is made from tree resin I believe. Tiles get grot between them. Depending on the tile material lino may be softer underfoot and warmer, possibly less likely to break plates if they fall.

I'm just having my bathroom done and we've decided to go for tile loc flooring. It's very like laminate in that it goes down in the same way but looks like tiles. B&Q have a big selection, it's pretty hard waring and is warmer on your feet than tiles.

Tiles! We've just had ours done in grey slate ones and it looks stunning. Don't go for lino - it's a bit cheap and nasty looking.

I've installed thousands of sq. ft. of tile in my time, and remember LINOLEUM, but had no clue it still existed. Sheet Vinyl on the other hand, does exist.

I think a couple of things you should consider might be that MILLIONS of people have TILE AND KIDS, and I doubt the stats on injuries are huge.

Tile will outlast sheet goods, and comes in so many varieties. TILE BTW doesn't have to be glass smooth and slippery

tiles look better and are more hard waring, but much harder to lay. Lino is relatively easy to lay and easy to change if you get bored and fancy a new look!
