There is violence inherent in Scientology. The very basic idea with which its founder fiction writer started the FMS cult, he exploited the human propensity of benefiting at the cost of others. Hence, he never had any compunction that any of his action would involve violence.

Now, the cult is not hesitant to do away with the lives of those who oppose them in even, harmless ways.

Well after 35 years of personally working in Scientology Churches and Social Betterment Programs including Education, Drug and Alcohol addiction education and rehab and Criminal Rehab, and applying Scientology technology to help people improve their lives, I would have to say that violence is a very destructive element in society. It has no positive effects or benefit to mankind.
Scientology HANDLES and eradicates violence in others.
What a WEIRD question !
Do YOU have a problem in this area yourself ?

Their method of conversion involves locking people up in dungeons, administering Chinese water torture while feeding them acid every half hour, so yes, there is some violence in Scientology.

Scientologists are people like every one else and if put in a corner they would fight like everyone else but I have never heard of a Scientologist starting a fight. All those sites that Zero Cool mention don't mention one instant of violence just suspicion and absurd allegations. For example Lisa McPherson died of a blood clot in her left lung that originated from a knee bruise she suffered in a auto accident.

It hasn't been around long enough for them to find any enemies. I mean people attack it verbally, they just don't fight back... yet!
