My daughter who's 23 (she had an attitude from heck in her teenage years) Told me recently,"That it took her years or learning and growing to appreciate the scarifices that i have made for her and all the decisions that were made in her best interest" And that she was grateful for me.Wow did that make my year!
She is a mother herself now, and she also said she hopes she can be as good as Mom as i am to her. Merry Christmas!

I run my own guesthouse, and a fews weeks back, i was speaking to a guest who was leaving and said what a wonderful family i had, caring polite etc.
he commented on the fact that i run the house by myself, on the attidute my manners of my 3 children (9,12,15) and how we all get on well with each other.
after he left, i felt really proud of what i achieved and even more proud of my children.
it allowed me to sit back and say how lucky I am.

Back in the '70;s I was a makeup artist traveling 3 states for a major manufacturer of cosmetic/hair supplies..I gave classes at salons for staff and owners...at a brand new salon, the owner said they knew about me and wanted me to do the classes and training in new products for them...I asked if she had seen me at a trade show; she said 'no'; I asked if we had perhaps met somewhere else, she said 'no' then, how, I asked, do you know who I am?? she replied; "Your reputation has preceded you"...wow..........made my day, week and month!!

The woman at the bank was talking to my wife and then looked at me and said "is this your son?" Made my day. Wifey was none too pleased though. She's only 1 year older than me. She's ace.

My girl told me that I'd be the perfect, most attentive father to our children.
(We don't have any yet and not really planning to for the next few years. Just a lovely thing to be told!)

my best bud, a guy, looked at me and said "you are so beautiful". That made my day. It meant so much to me because he wasn't trying to get into my pants. :)

Once one guy told me " you're beautiful like damn amazing witch" - & I didn't know how to react on his words - to laugh or to become angry!?
However I like him more than a friend :)
